Dr. Dladla studied African American Studies and Mystical Traditions at Oberlin College before pursuing medicine. She graduated from Cornell Medical School. She then went on to pursue a master’s fellowship in research and epidemiology from Cornell’s graduate school. She has been a practicing internal medical specialist for 20 years but developed a strong interest in and affinity for ancient, holistic, and integrative medicine many years ago after suffering health problems that weren’t being addressed through conventional medicine.
Nonkulie Dladla, MD, MS, went on to study functional medicine, which looks at systems and their interactions to create more dynamic and comprehensive treatment plans to restore health. She is trained in ‘bioregulatory medicine’ which uses nutrition, lifestyle, unda/gemmotherapy remedies, light therapy, IV nutrient therapy, peptides, etc., to support the body’s ability to come back into balance. Bioregulatory medicine purports that the body has built-in mechanisms to heal and regenerate but needs additional support to do so.
Dr. Dladla is also a huge proponent of hormonal health for women and men. She treats hormonal imbalances using bioidentical hormones through the use of creams, injections, or pellets based on the patient’s preference. In addition to hormonal balance, through an emphasis on wellness and health-promoting behaviors, she focuses on the relationship of metabolism to longevity and ways to assess and optimize this relationship.
Dr. Dladla is a proponent of energy medicine and the importance of balancing energetic fields through work on the chakras of the body. She is further expanding her treatment options by delving into Chinese medical theory and the use of medicinal herbs and supplements to rebalance meridians and organ dysfunction.
Dr. Dladla will also be offering sexual rejuvenation through multiple modalities to improve function and experience, She will also be adding cosmetics to the practice for women and men who want to work on all aspects of the aging process (inside and outside).
